Tooth Jar - Commissioned Work

Commissioned by a friend to make this money box/jar as a wedding gift for her sister-in-law.

Was quite a challenge, especially with the lid. I originally planned for it to be held on with magnets but after I sculpted the lid it was too heavy and, along with the angle of the opening (too low), kept falling off. Pretty happy with how the cork turned out though (thankfully it did!).
A very big lesson about the importance of solid designing and planning before jumping in!
Must. Learn. Patience!

The Witch Queen of New Orleans

"...Once a highly esteemed Voodoo Queen,
She could make diamonds cloudy and rocks gleam.
Then one day our poor Witch,
Discovered a potion that made her mind itch..."

For two weeks straight I couldn't get the song "Witch Queen of New Orleans" by Redbone out of my head (which was ok, but it's a pretty great song). An image followed along, and it too wouldn't leave me alone.
So here she is.
She's not Marie Laveau, but could possibly be her estranged cousin
...once removed.
